The 12th AWID International Forum Event - Istanbul (April 19-22, 2012)

The 2012 AWID Forum, aims to explore how economic power is impacting on women and the planet, and to facilitate connections among the very diverse groups working on these issues from both human rights and justice approaches so that members of the forum can contribute to stronger, more effective strategies to advance women’s rights and justice.

The forum will feature the sessions selected through the Call for Proposals, a daily plenary session, a variety of strategic sessions, skills building workshops, and artistic/cultural sessions. In addition, the forum programme will include a number of side activities and events, such as book launches and receptions, caucuses, celebration dinner and artistic presentations that are an integral aspect of the International AWID Forums.
